Stories that incite

"We want stories that incite us to greatness." Author Sarah-Jane Murray gave this TED talk about the importance of story and some of the physical reasons why good story resonates so deeply within our brains. We remember stories far more easily and better than plain fact. Perhaps that is one reason why at this time of year we remember the great Advent story so well. It engages all of our senses and augers its way into our hearts.

Perhaps this is why I love to tell stories. Little did I know how brains couple during the process of listening. This encourages me even though the stories I launch barely move the Richter scale.
So tell your stories. Write them down.

Have a merry and blessed Christmas.
